Music Festivals In Florida – Your 2023 Guide

Put These Music Festivals in Florida on Your 2023 Bucket List

Last updated 1/5/2023

With the weather always warm and sunny, it’s no surprise Florida is a popular EDM music festival destination. Of the dozens of music festivals in Florida announced every year, we’ve compiled a list so you can get a jump start on your planning.

There’s something for fans of all genres of electronic/dance music, including dubstep, trance, house, techno, and more. Some festivals go beyond the DJ scene and invite live artists to their stages.

Most Florida music festivals take place in the fall, winter, and spring seasons since summer in Florida tends to be extremely hot, humid, and rainy—never great conditions for spending the entire day outside. Likewise, during the traditionally cold months in North America, Florida (aside from Mexico, Southern California, and some other states on the US’s southern border) is one of the only places that can comfortably host a large-scale outdoor gathering like an EDM festival. In many cases, patrons can comfortably camp outdoors in the winter in Florida. There are a number of camping festivals that take place in Florida each year. We’ve included both camping festivals and traditional music festivals on this list and made the distinction so you can consider accommodations while you plan.

If you’re local and looking for a music festival in Florida to drive to, or if you live elsewhere and just have an interest in traveling to the Sunshine State for festival shenanigans, we’ve got you covered. There are plenty of music festivals in Miami and beyond to keep you busy all year. Check out our full list of EDM festivals in Florida below:

We Belong Here – Miami, Florida

we belong here music festival florida

Held at the popular Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, We Belong Here is a relatively young music festival in Miami. The festival hosted its inaugural year in 2022 and had so much success that it’s planning its return to this magnificent city, where several music festivals in Florida take place throughout the year. Miami is a house and techno hub of the US, so it’s no wonder so many epic events touch down here.

According to the festival’s website, “We Belong Here carefully curates a cross section of techno and house that is melodic and emotion provoking. Universally enjoyable, yet mind expanding–catering equally to the seasoned veteran of the genres as to those with no prior attachment.

Although Ultra steals the show during Miami Music Week, there are dozens of after-parties and music events happening all over the city simultaneously. It would be wise to stay in the Miami area to the hustle and bustle of trying to commute in and out of the city during Miami’s biggest weekend of the year.
